"Ask and ye shall receive." And that's often the way in FidoNet.

I'm happy to report this spirit is still alive and well and FidoNews
is proof. Last week I asked for Area Code and Country Code updates
from the Coordinator structure. Within hours of the distribution of
     1435, I received a comprehensive list from non-Coordinator Leonard
Erickson in Oregon. His report appears below. He has just offered to
write a regular column updating these numbers and my thanks are on the
way back. This is the cool part of FidoNet. [grin]

The rest is the standard stuff and all of it is appreciated. If you
feel ambitious, don't hesitate to send me your input, too.

     C.B.

     Hi Chris!,
I'd like to submit a new article for FidoNews: I released
     BWExplorer 1.0 Listen here:

     ============================================================
     Hi,
this is Michele Di Maria, the author of BWExplorer (the first
Blue Wave mail reader for Windows95) and I'd like to inform you about
the new version of the program, realized after 3 months of feedback
with the users, that told me their request and their wishes.

Version 1.0 is a very complete version: it contains Full compatibility
with the Blue Wave standard (with File Request and Offline areas
configuration), Toolbar and Right Click support, Tagline Editor,
Signature Editor which allows multiple signatures, Message Editor,
Extended Customization, Find Tool, Twit List and more.

You can download it from BWExplorer's Homepage at:

             http://www.geocities.com/siliconvalley/7409

or, if you have problems with this address you can try at:

             http://www.rsc.co.uk/snowcave/files/bwx10.zip

     ============================================================

could you include it in FidoNews please?
What do you think about that version?

     Bye,
             Michele

     Upcoming areacode changes.
     by Leonard Erickson. 1:105/51, shadow@krypton.rain.com

Since our editor asked about areacode changes, I thought I'd oblige.
The info below was obtained from Bellcore's web site.

"Full cutover" indicates the *end* of the permissive dialing period.
That is, the date at which you *must* use the new areacode instead of
     old one.
